📣 Promoter program
Help spread SoloMD
SoloMD is free, open source and built by one developer. There is no ad budget and there will not be one. It reaches new people when someone who uses it says “this is good”. If you have a blog, a channel, a newsletter, a community — anywhere people listen to you — here is how to help, and how we thank you.
What you get
- The thank-you wallYour name with a link to your article or video on the thanks page — a backlink that sends readers your way.
- The app’s About dialogEvery SoloMD user who opens About sees your name.
- GitHub contributorsListed with 📣 Promotion in the README contributors table, avatar included, following the All Contributors spec.
- A thank-you in the release notesNew promoters are named in the next version’s notes.
- A spot on the homepageThe pieces people love most are featured under “What people are saying”.
Sponsors are recognised exactly the same way (as 💵 in the README). Ways to sponsor.
What counts
- An article, blog post or review written after actually using it
- A video or stream segment (YouTube, Bilibili, …)
- A recommendation in your newsletter or podcast
- A mention in a course, talk or workshop
- An honest post or answer in a community (Reddit, Hacker News, forums, …)
- Submitting it to a software directory or awesome list, translating the docs
What doesn’t — please don’t
- App Store / Google Play ratings or reviews — Both stores forbid rewarding ratings in any way, and it would put SoloMD’s listing at risk. Rate it if you want to — it just doesn’t count here.
- Buying or swapping GitHub stars — It breaks GitHub’s acceptable-use rules.
- Spam, mass reposting, exaggerated or false claims — It annoys people and hurts SoloMD’s name.
It doesn’t need to read like an ad. If you like, mention that you’re on SoloMD’s thank-you list — being upfront is more convincing than anything.
How to take part
